Our Story
Certified Kitchens was founded on the belief that foodservice professionals deserve access to high-quality, thoughtfully designed cooking environments. Created by husband-and-wife team Thomas and Marie Banis, every kitchen detail reflects their commitment to organic, sustainable, and professional culinary practices.
Thomas brings over 35 years of experience in commercial kitchen and restaurant design, while Marie is the Co-Founder of Thoughtful Food, an Organic & Gluten-Free Certified granola company that produces Giddy Up & Go Granola.
Together, inspired by their love of cooking with organic and sustainable ingredients, they created Certified Kitchens — a space dedicated to helping food entrepreneurs thrive. Today, Certified Kitchens offers two state-of-the-art commercial kitchens for rent, designed for chefs, caterers, and food producers seeking professional-grade equipment and a supportive, production-ready environment.
